Blood Test for Food/Environment Intolerance and Allergy

Which Food/Environmental Allergens Are Your Body Really Reacting To?

Bloating, fatigue, headaches, skin flare-ups, or IBS-type symptoms can often be traced back to a food intolerance or allergy — but the two are easy to confuse, since they involve different parts of the immune system, different timescales, and different risks. We now offer Intolerance & Allergy Testing at our clinic, so you can find out which foods or environmental allergens your body is really reacting to.

Testing is simple: a blood sample is taken during your appointment at the clinic and sent for laboratory analysis, with your results emailed directly to you, usually within about a week. Our team is happy to talk you through your results and the options available afterwards.

Intolerance or Allergy — What's the Difference?
Intolerance Allergy
IgG antibody reaction IgE antibody reaction
Delayed — symptoms up to 72 hours after eating Immediate — symptoms within minutes to 2 hours
Bloating, fatigue, headaches, IBS-type symptoms, skin flare-ups Itching, swelling, sneezing, vomiting, breathing difficulty
Rarely dangerous, but can significantly affect quality of life Can be severe and, in rare cases, life-threatening
Estimated to affect up to 45% of people at some point Estimated to affect around 2% of adults

Not sure which applies to you? Our practitioner can help you choose the right test — or you can choose our combined Bundle, which checks for both.
