Infertility and Chinese herbal Medicine

Chinese herbs are also recommended for infertility. It will supplement the acupuncture and any other treatment you may be receiving. No individual herb is considered especially useful for promoting fertility. Herbs are usually given in complex formulas comprising of 15 or more ingredients to treat infertility with the purpose of correcting a functional or organic problem. Herbs are believed to have a positive effect on the hormonal system, reproductive organs, and sex drive. The Acupuncture patient derives general health benefits and endocrine system balancing from specific acupuncture and herbal regimes. Pregnancy becomes easier to achieve and postpartum recuperation happens faster.

At St Neots Chinese Medical Centre, we use herbs, derived from the leaves, flowers, roots, stems and seeds of plants to make up your bespoke herbal mixture, and each herb has individual healing properties.

Your herbal preparation is supplied as either dry herbs or herbal granules, which is then drank as a tea. From time to time, your mixture will be modified depending on your progress and your overall constitution at each stage of your treatment.

Herbal Granules are simply dissolved in hot water and drunk twice daily (similar to instant coffee).

Herbal tea is made from dry herbs.
